Aries Season’s Final Days: A Pause Before the New Bloom 🌱🌼

Hello beautiful soul,

Though we’re in the final week of Aries season, it hasn’t felt like Aries at all. 🤔 Instead of the usual fiery momentum, I’ve felt caught in a kind of limbo. This season, I was surrendering to slowness, dedicating my days to rest, introspection, and dreamtime.💭

With Mercury retrograde from March 15 to April 6 and Venus only stationing direct yesterday, Aries season has taken on an entirely different energy—one of turning inward, slowing down, and maybe confusion. Normally, Aries is all about movement, action, and drive, but this time, it asked for patience and reflection instead.

To put it gently, this Mercury retrograde hit me hard. Eclipse season and Venus’s retrograde motion only deepened the uncertainty, leaving me feeling unanchored and disconnected from my sacred mission. But after Mercury moved forward, I feel the shift—a return of clarity, energy, and confidence. It’s as if I, too, have stationed direct. The Aries fire is reigniting within me, pushing me forward with renewed purpose. With Taurus season approaching, I’m embracing these last Aries days to realign with my mission—one that’s almost ready to bloom. 🌱🌼 I can’t wait to share more with you soon!

And yet, Venus was still retrograde until yesterday, April 13, and it was keeping this inward pull alive—especially for the sacred feminine. A new Venus cycle started at the end of March in Aries and Pisces, weaving together the energies of the warrior and the healer. I feel this deeply reflected in my own journey, asking: Who am I as a woman? What am I here to bring? At the same time, I’ve been working closely with a somatic practitioner, healing and releasing deeply held grief, pain, and sorrow—especially in my womb space. Letting go, making space. Space for fierceness, aliveness, playfulness, and new life.✨

In this soul letter, I invite you to journey with me through Aries season and explore what’s unfolding in the sky. See if you recognize these cosmic shifts mirrored in your own life. I deeply believe in the principle of As Above, So Below—understanding the larger cycles always brings clarity to my own inner journey, and perhaps it will for you too.💛

With love,
Ella

The Season of New Beginnings ✨

Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, ignites the fire that sets the astrological wheel in motion. With Aries season comes the start of a new astrological year, accompanied by the March Equinox, which ushers in Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. But the energy of renewal doesn’t stop there—both Venus and Neptune have begun new journeys, ushering in profound shifts and fresh possibilities.

Neptune’s Shift from Pisces to Aries
Aries season began on March 20, when the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all met in Aries, infusing the Equinox with a strong Aries energy. However, due to Mercury and Venus’ retrograde motion, they later moved back into Pisces, softening the initial surge of fire and creating a moment of introspection.

But the biggest shift? On March 30, Neptune transitioned from Pisces to Aries—an event that last occurred in 1861. Since Neptune is a slow-moving planet, its influence is more collective than personal, shaping generational themes and deepening our connection to dreams, intuition, spirituality, and transcendence.

Neptune, the ruling planet of Pisces, has been at home in its sign since 2011-2012, enhancing mysticism, creativity, and fluidity. But in Aries, Neptune takes on a more active, bold, and dynamic expression. This could inspire you to take action on long-held dreams and find the courage to listen to your intuition and finding your own form of spirituality.

The Aries-Pisces Venus Cycle
We also recently completed a significant 19-month Venus cycle that began in Leo back in 2023. There are different ways to track the start of a new Venus cycle—some astrologers mark it when Venus meets the Sun, while others follow the ancient Sumerian and Babylonian tradition of beginning the cycle when Venus first becomes visible in the sky after being hidden from Earth’s view.

This time, Venus reappeared in either Aries or Pisces, depending on where you are in the world. This is a rare and unique event, marking the start of a new Venus cycle infused with both Aries’ fiery independence and Pisces’ deep compassion and love for all. Additionally, this Venus rebirth happened closest to the Equinox—a special alignment that only occurs once every eight years.

A new Venus cycle always begins with a retrograde period—a time of inner reflection before stepping into a new chapter. Venus is now moving direct again, traveling through Pisces and beginning her descent toward the Underworld. She’ll stay in Pisces until April 30, after which she’ll move into Aries to meet Mercury, Neptune, and Chiron.

Curious to dive deeper into Venus’s journey and the myth of Inanna? I’ve written a blogpost about the Venus cycle.

An Ode To Venus Ceremony 🤍

If you like to honor Venus and her new cycle with me, on Saturday 19th of April we come together during a special Women’s Ceremony at De Nieuwe Yogaschool. This evening we connect with the energy of Taurus and Venus, as Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus. I will take you into the myth of Inanna/Ishtar, which is the cycle of Venus in the sky. We will drink a cup of cacao to connect with the earth element of Taurus and the feminine energy of Mother Earth. As Taurus, and so Venus, is about the journey of embodiment, we will dance and move, honoring and celebrating our beautiful feminine body.

You’re warmly invited to join this sacred space and reconnect with the essence of the feminine.🌸

Aries-Pisces Herbal Tea 🫖

During our last Women’s Ceremony, we honored the transition from Pisces to Aries—a shift that was more than just a change in signs, but a powerful energetic gateway for this year. We began the evening with a tea ceremony, featuring a special blend I crafted to embody the essence of both Pisces (compassion, love, empathy, and softness) and Aries (fierce energy, inner fire, new beginnings, and the Sun). In these transformative times, I’m delighted to share this recipe with you for these transformational times.

For one 🫖 Aries-Pisces tea

🌞 2 teaspoons of calendula or 5 full flowers
🌹 2 rose petals or a teaspoon of leaves
🌿 handful of linden blossom
🍋 1 teaspoon of lemon balm

You can always change the recipe to your own liking.
